Terms of service

The rules I work to, written so you can hold me to them. Short, and in plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

These terms apply to plumbing work carried out by Bajarangi Plumbing Services, an independent plumbing business operating in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Who you are dealing with

  • Bajarangi Plumbing Services — sole proprietorship
  • Proprietor: Kailash Chandra Behera
  • Niangorada, Bhatabandha, Chanrapada, Nimapara, Odisha 752106, India
  • Phone: +91 78489 89792
  • Email: [email protected]

I hold no trade licence or certification, and this website does not claim any. What I offer is experience and a straight answer, which is a different thing and is described honestly on the about page.

Booking is a request, not a confirmed appointment

Submitting either form on this website sends me a message. It does not book a slot on its own. A visit is confirmed when I reply and we agree a time between us.

Both forms work by opening WhatsApp with your details written out, which you then send. If you do not tap Send in WhatsApp, I do not receive the request at all. If you have not heard back and you are not sure the message went, please call.

Arrival times

I do not promise an arrival time on this website, and I will not give you one before we have spoken. Once we have, the time I give you is my genuine intention, and if something overruns I will tell you rather than leave you waiting.

For anything actively leaking, close your stop valve and call. That protects your home far better than any promised arrival window.

Estimates are indicative until I have seen the job

Anything I tell you before seeing the work — over the phone, on WhatsApp, or in a message — is an indication based on your description. It is not a fixed quote and it can change once I can see what is actually there.

The figure I give you after inspecting the job is the one that counts. You get it before I start, itemised into labour and parts, and you decide whether to go ahead.

If, having opened something up, I find the job is materially bigger than it appeared, I stop and tell you, with a revised figure, before continuing. I will not carry on and add it to the bill at the end.

Inspection and call-out charges

Where a visit is needed to diagnose a problem, the ₹150 visit charge applies ONLY if the customer declines the repair after inspection — there is no charge if the customer proceeds with the repair. This charge is told to you before I set off — not on arrival and not afterwards. If you decide not to proceed with the repair, that charge still covers the visit and the diagnosis.

Taxes

GST is not currently applicable, because turnover is below the ₹20 lakh per year threshold requiring registration under Indian GST law.

Parts

I use parts that are appropriate for the job and I show you what has been fitted. You are welcome to supply your own fittings; if you do, my work is guaranteed but the part itself is covered by whatever guarantee came with it and not by me.

Where a part is unavailable and a sound temporary repair is possible, I will do that, tell you clearly that it is temporary, and agree when I am returning to complete it. A temporary repair will never be described to you as a permanent one.

Guarantees on workmanship

Bajarangi Plumbing Services does not currently publish a standard written workmanship warranty. What applies instead is specific and checkable: any guarantee on your job is stated in the quote I send you on WhatsApp before the work starts, and that written agreement is what governs it.

If a repair I have carried out fails in a way that is down to my work, tell me and I will put it right. What I cannot take responsibility for is a different fault in the same system, wear on parts you supplied, or work altered by someone else afterwards.

Where I work

I provide plumbing services across all of Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

If you are just outside the city limits, ask anyway — it depends on the day and the job, and travel may be charged. Being outside the city limits is not a refusal, it just means it has to be agreed rather than assumed.

What is not my trade

I do plumbing. I do not do tiling, waterproofing, structural work, or electrical work beyond the switch and starter connections that go with a domestic pump. If your job needs one of those, I will tell you rather than attempt it.

I will also tell you when a repair is not worth doing, or when the problem is not plumbing at all. That advice is free and it is meant seriously.

Access and safety

I need reasonable access to the work, and to your stop valve, tank or pump where the job involves them. Where water has reached sockets, a distribution board or a heater, the power must be off before I can work safely, and I may decline to proceed until it is.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the agreed work, by the method we agree at the time. There is no online payment on this website, and I will never ask you for card or bank details through this site or over WhatsApp.

Independence

Bajarangi Plumbing Services is an independent business. It is not owned by, endorsed by or partnered with any marketplace or platform, and no marketplace branding, customer data or reviews appear on this website.

Cancelling, and what happens if work is defective

Cancellation before I set off is free and always will be. If a repair I carried out fails because of my work, I come back and put it right at no charge. The full position — no-shows, specially ordered parts, and how to raise a problem — is set out on the cancellations and refunds page.

What I am responsible for, and what I am not

I am responsible for my own work, and for damage I actually cause. If I break something while working in your home, that is mine to put right and I will not argue about it.

What I do not accept responsibility for:

  • Pre-existing faults and wear I did not cause, including pipework that fails elsewhere while I am working on a different part of the system. Old plumbing sometimes fails when it is disturbed, and I will tell you when I think that is a genuine risk before I start.
  • Loss that follows on from a fault rather than being the fault itself — loss of income, time off work, or a missed appointment.
  • Work altered by someone else after I left, or parts you supplied.
  • Delay caused by something outside my control, such as a part being unavailable, a water supply being shut off by the authority, or weather that makes the work unsafe.

Where I am liable for a job, my liability is limited to putting the work right or refunding what you paid for it, whichever you would prefer. None of this limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, and nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If any part of this section is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Your details

What is collected, exactly where it goes, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted is set out in the privacy notice. Cookies are covered separately.

Worth knowing before you use either form: pressing send saves your details on my server as well as opening WhatsApp, so I receive them even if you then close WhatsApp without sending the message. If you would rather that did not happen, call instead.

If we disagree

Tell me first. Most disputes are a misunderstanding about what was agreed, and I would rather spend an hour fixing something than a day arguing about it. I aim to reply within two working days and to agree a way forward within seven.

If that does not resolve it, you can take the matter to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for Khordha district, or contact the National Consumer Helpline. Going to me first is not a precondition — it is just usually faster.

Governing law

These terms, and any work carried out under them, are governed by the laws of India. The courts and consumer forums at Bhubaneswar, in the district of Khordha, Odisha, have jurisdiction. Because you are a consumer, you keep any right you have to bring a complaint where you live, and this clause does not take that away.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to your job are the ones published when you booked it. If I change this page, the date at the top changes with it, and a change never applies retrospectively to work already agreed.

Questions about these terms

Ask me before the work starts rather than afterwards — that is much easier for both of us.
